Los ejecutivos del Hotel Guatemala City Marriott, ofrecieron un desayuno informativo a varios representantes de los medios de comunicacion, tanto de la prensa escrita, radio, television e internet.
Durante la actividad que tuvo como marco el restaurant Champion`s Sport Bar and Restaurant, se hizo entrega a la Sociedad Protectora del Niño de un donativo por Q. 70 mil, cantidad que se logró reunir durante el Noveno Torneo de Golf de Champion`s que se realizó en el mes de marzo pasado en las instalaciones del Mayan Golf Club.
De igual forma se aprovechó la ocasión para lanzar el Premio a la Excelencia en Periodismo Turistico 2007. Este galardon fue instituidopor el Hotel Guatemala City Marriottdesde hace cinco años, con el objetivo de motivar a periodistas radicados en el pais a publicar o transmitir noticias y articulos de interés en el área económica y socio-cultural sobre la industria sin chimeneas, que en Guatemala se ha constituido como el primer generador de divisas, sin contar las remesas familiares.
Por otro lado se presentaron las promociones que el Hotel tiene cada mes para todos sus clientes en las distintas áreas de bares y restaurantes. Algo importante es que se han instalado las nuevas salas para masajes relajantes, a disposición de huespedes y miembros del Fitness & Racquet Club.
Finalmente, el Gerente General del Hotel Guatemala City Marriott, Benjamín Villegas expresó a los presentes, " Nosotros en el hotel Marriott consideramos a los periodistas, como parte de uestro equipo de trabajo. Estamos encantados de poder compartir con todos ellos , no solo un momento agradable, sino tamien actividades en las que participamos, cuyo objetivo es contribuir a cosntruir un mejor país, finalizo diciendo el Licenciado Villegas.
